Frustrations of the NHS

Write your post here.

We have been extremely busy over the past couple of months.....unfortunately strains of the NHS effect everyone and we are trying our utmost to keep pace with the number of referrals versus the contract. even with all my years experience I still feel to understand the cutbacks as its false economy and the only person that truly ends up suffering is the patient. However I think the concept and provision of an NHS is still an institution to be proud of but it is the political pawn and tampered with too much.

Update

Recent changes have taken place at the clinic which has seen us say goodbye to Lynette as she sets off for a new life with her husband in Australia. We welcome Mandy Crowley, a very experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist who has had many years of running her own practice and we look forward to her joining the team.

Our remedial therapist has now qualified as a baby massage teacher and will be setting up classes in the near future. If you require more information please ring the clinic.

News

Special offer on TENS machines at present. Reduced from £39 to £25. Excellent value for the quality of machine.

NEWS.... Andrea Savage our remedial massage therapist is due to qualify as a baby massage teacher in March and classes will be commencing in April. These will consist of 4 classes based at the clinic. The cost will be £32 for the course which will include handouts and a small bottle of oil. If interested please call the clinic for details.

Update

Well we had fun last weekend providing a massage service for the Crich 10k run and the runners seemed grateful for our efforts. Money raised went to set up a foundation for in memeory of Fay Whitehead's daughter who tragically died from anorexia last summer and was a gifted athlete.

We have Pilates and Swiss Ball Classses ready to run in September. Please ring the clinic for details.

Our remedial masseur has slots available for the end of August so do come and treat yourself.

Latest

The gardening season is well upon us and over doing things can result in pulled muscles and sore backs and necks. Why not book in for a postural check and a massage if you're feeling the strain.

We have started stocking gel insoles for feet. They feel fantastic and as well as providing support in the appropriate places have a massage effect - great if you have to be on your feet for a long time.

Jenny is on course physio at the 2012 Games....seems to be the only way of getting to be there (for those of us that applied for tickets and didn't get any)?
